I am a Portland, Oregon based aquatic activist who has been teaching swim lessons in California and Oregon for adults, children and individuals with special needs since I was 14 years old. I currently coach a US Masters Swim team of over 115 individuals and I started Kragt Aquatics as I noticed a greater need to support aquatics on an individual bases in my community. My goal is to broaden aquatic accessibility for individuals through a personal, sustainable plan for acquiring swimming skills. My programs can be tailored to emphasize beginning water safety through competitive training plans and racing. As a mother of 4, I define success in my program similarly to parenting: I will build a skillset with you so that ultimately you don't need me anymore! That may look like the freedom to go on a vacation without fear around open water, the ability to sign up for a triathlon with a friend and complete the swim portion, or the knowledge and confidence to make swimming a part of your own health and fitness plan for life!
